I have been assembling my creations since the jewellery bug overtook me in 2009. Soon after, my husband was offered a job in Uruguay, South America, and we moved there with our two small sons. Yes, it was a big effort to do this with a young family, and yes, it was very difficult at times! It was also exciting, stimulating, amazing and we met some wonderful people.
We returned to New Zealand in January 2011, so the trade-off for me, in leaving the incredible adventure that we were living, is that I can now more easily undertake the sale of my pieces back home, where I understand the language and how things operate as a whole (a big bonus for a creative creature such as myself!).
We live in rural Nelson, Tasman district, at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. Within a couple of hours of our home we have beautiful beaches, soaring mountains, ski-fields in winter, and the spectacular Marlborough Sounds. In a nut-shell - Paradise. A glorious place to come "home" to.
Onward and upward - now I can't wait to see what life holds for me next!
(The photos to the right are my own photos, featuring some the great places we had the pleasure of visiting while in South America).
