Floral, feminine and fantastic - this was an absolute pleasure to create.
The centre-piece of this darling necklace is a wonderful Czech pressed opaque glass cabochon in a brass crown setting.
(cabochon manufactured in Gablonz* in the 1920's-30's - see below)
Due to it's age, it was crying out for a subtle approach, and I couldn't see it being overwhelmed by strong gold or silver.
Accompanying it are vintage beads in similar tones - pink glass tear-drops, and facted English-cut beads in a slightly deeper rose pink, and finished with a fancy-link brass chain in antique tones.
Precious and one-of-a-kind (well, I did make one other, but I am keeping that for myself!).
* Gablonz was the centre of Bohemian glass-making expertise up until WWII. (Post WWI, Bohemia became Czechoslavakia, and subsequently in 1993 split into modern-day Czech Republic and Slovakia.)
